For Ukrainian Refugee Career Support
With the onset of the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict, more than 270,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in the United States, and their numbers continue to rapidly increase. Many of these refugees lack proficiency in the English language, and have limited knowledge of American infrastructure in scope of job opportunities and job markets, licenses and other documents required for legal employment. These individuals are experiencing immense stress and suffering facing barriers on the way to realize their opportunity to obtain a job, and they are in need of assistance.
Ukrainian immigrants require mentoring and consultation to clarify refugees' opportunities and make a smooth transition into the United States environment. By The People For The People has launched a program to AID Ukrainian refugees in finding employment and adapting to their new circumstances. The goal of our program is to provide consultation, training, and mentorship in the following categories:
Truck driving: We offer guidance to individuals with prior experience in truck driving as well as those without any previous experience.
Informational Technologies: For individuals with previous IT experience, we assist in preparation and making the specialist ready for the US job market. For individuals without experience, we provide skills assessment, basic training, and mentoring to acquire the necessary knowledge to begin a career in IT.
English We provide participants in our program with English language instruction, with a focus on professional communication relevant to their fields.
By developing this program, we anticipate an increase in the rate of employment among Ukrainian refugees in the United States and reduction of dependency of those participants on government assistance and subsidies within the Ukrainian community.
